Since La Dispute’s 2004 inception, the band’s urgent, often-ferocious brand of driving hardcore has garnered comparisons to Saetia, At The Drive-In and mewithoutYou while their live show has been known to light a fire under more than a few receptive audiences. However, on the its debut full-length, Somewhere At The Bottom Of The River…, there’s an unmistakably foreboding, almost hypnotic current pulsing through these twelve remarkable songs. It’s a captivating turn as La Dispute has always been more known for their frantic and frenzied brand of aural aggression than for any soul-searching composition or contemplative passage. Somewhere will undoubtedly change that perception.

– Fiery, emotional hardcore that follows no rules. This feels like just the beginning of a brilliant career. –
– Fusing diversity and meaningfulness into an album that surges forward without looking back. –
– An emotional roller coaster of post-hardcore that foams with intensity and ferocity. – The Punk Site
– I am utterly flattened with disbelief as to how much La Dispute has grown. – Evil Needles
– La Dispute came out of nowhere to surprise the hell out of me. –
– This band is meant for much bigger, better things. – Sputnik Music
