After a successful set of performances at the Brooklyn Academy
of Music-hosted Red Hot + Rio 2: The Next Generation of Samba Soul,
São Paulo’s Curumin is back in the US for a full coast-to-coast
tour. Starting in San Diego and continuing through to New York
(with special guests Money Mark, Blackalicious, Lateef, and Tommy
Guerrero at a few key shows), the drummer/singer/cavaquinho-player
(take THAT, Phil Collins) will be treating fans to his sweetly
rousing mix of samba, soul, psychedelic funk, and hip-hop.
