After debuting their new video for Red Line Season to the world at the end of 2008, and after landing on a TON of year-end best of lists, Seattle’s sonic post-punk pioneers, These Arms Are Snakes, have just announced full details on their upcoming US tour.

Their trek will take them around the country, and, for the first time since the release of their latest full-length, Tail Swallower & Dove (Suicide Squeeze), the mighty Snakes will be traveling coast to coast imposing their spasm-inducing brutality on the good ole U.S.A. Joining the band on the majority of their trek are Touch & Go’s All The Saints, and Young Widows.

In other band news, Brian Cook from TAAS sat down with our good friends at FUSE TV.com and gave some insider tidbits into the making of the band’s brand new video for Red Line Season. You can read what Brian had to say about the video as well as watch it here:

Here are some nice things that people have been saying about the band:

Some bands clobber with complicated riffs, others with brute force and speed, but Seattle’s These Arms Are Snakes lay waste with a wily combination of volatile rhythms and clever arrangements- Revolver Magazine

Tail Swallower & Dove is a torrent of math-rock intricacies, but the tiny droplets of soul never become diluted.- Alternative Press

They spend gigs throwing coffee tables and playing on crates- this, their third LP is just as spectacular-NME

One of the most ferocious bands to have emerged from the post-hardcore landscape, Seattle quartet These Arms are Snakes have, since their inception, polarized audiences with their unabashedly classic rock-leaning take on the genre; forging a sound that, while seemingly at odds with their heritage- The Tripwire

Post-hardcore insanity merges with strong songwriting on this Seattle band’s third full album. Direct and uncompromising, TS&D blasts through challenging math rock progressions, battering ram rhythms and bizarre grooves that’ll remind you equally of Fugazi and Blood Brothers. – HeadbangersBlog.com
