Celebrated progressive rock / cutting-edge metal band BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME (BTBAM) has announced multi-continental tour dates in support of its critically acclaimed new album The Great Misdirect.

Produced by Live Nation and presented by Killer Tours, the BTBAM winter whirl will run through February 6 in Charlotte, NC and features support from Cynic, Devin Townsend Project and Scale the Summit. The tour’s official admat can be viewed at this location.

Immediately following the North American headlining trek, BTBAM will kick off a European tour alongside Lamb of God. The month long tour will begin on February 9 in Birmingham, UK and will criss-cross the continent, wrapping with a bang on March 12 in Lund, Sweden. Straight off the tour with LOG, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME will embark upon a tour of Japan with The Red Chord as support. At the conclusion of the Japan dates, BTBAM will head to Australia for a string of major market live performances. A special one off show in Hawaii on April 1 will conclude the massive globe trot.

Additionally, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME has completed work on the first music video from The Great Misdirect. The gripping clip for the new BTBAM song “Obfuscation” can be absorbed now at this location.

Merging unparalleled musical bravery, prodigious musicianship, flawless execution and an angular landscape of forward thinking ideas, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME reinvent the rock ‘n roll idiom while pleasing their harshest critics: themselves. Joining metal’s dexterity and progressive rock’s forward-looking action, BTBAM create spine-tingling sound that contains visceral power, labyrinthine arrangement, mind-boggling melody and majestic beauty. Since its inception, the band has proven itself as a progressive rock pacesetter whose modernist clang pegs it as a paradigm to be followed and a yardstick by which other bands are measured.

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME features Tommy Rogers (vocals / keyboards), Paul Waggoner (guitar), Dustie Waring (guitar), Blake Richardson (drums / percussion) and Dan Briggs (bass).

“Between the Buried and Me have evolved into a progressive band in the truest sense of the word, an alchemic group who concoct innovative, multi-genre fusions rather than a metal outfit with experimental pretensions.” – ALTERNATIVE PRESS

“Isn’t it great when progressive rock bands actually progress? With the ravenous appetite and unbridled euphoria of a bunch of four year-olds in a candy store, Between the Buried and Me has at last allowed all those myriad influences to surface” – POPMATTERS

“This North Carolina quintet has made a career out of stirring prog, emo, jazz, electronics, and what-have-you into the metal pot…diverse would be an understatement” – STYLUS
