Amsterdam based Don Diablo has been making waves with scores of sell out live shows, where his unique brand of ‘distorteddiscobreakselectrojackinhooliganhouse’ has been going down a storm. Smashing it on 4 decks, critics have called him ‘the ultimate combination between Prince, The Thin White Duke and Metallica’. Playing from small intimate club venues to rocking crowds of up to 120,000, Don Diablo has done it all. His hectic tour schedule takes him from Hong Kong to London and from Miami to Sydney and sees him DJ alongside every big name in the book. He has just returned from the successful Stereosonic Music Festival tour in Australia, where he toured with the likes of DJ Hell, Crookers, Carl Cox, Booka Shade, and established himself as a firm festival favourite.

In 2004, Don released his first album, ‘2Faced’ through Universal Music, and by 2005, Don had founded his own record label ‘Middle of the Road’ and event brand ‘Sellout Sessions’. His profile began to increase rapidly, helped by the success of hits such as ‘Blow’ which received a tasty remix by Sebastien Léger and was licensed to over 10 territories. Don has proved his ability as an A&R man for upcoming talent, by discovering, signing and licensing the UK Top 3 chart hit ‘Exceeder’ by Mason as the second release for the label.

In 2008 Don signed a worldwide recording deal with Sony BMG, through which he is due to release his eagerly anticipated album, ‘Life is a Festival’, which will be released in over 20 territories. The title track of this album is being featured as the title song in a major independent Dutch movie ‘Radeloos’, which debuted at Number 1 at the box office. In fact, Don’s last 4 singles in the Netherlands have been used for TV campaigns to promote several Hollywood movies such as ‘Snakes on a Plane’, ‘Hoodwinked’, and ‘Shoot’em Up’.

Over the years, Don has been called in to remix a diverse range of artists such as Public Enemy, The BPA (ft. Iggy Pop), Kraak & Smaak, Newton Faulkner and Laidback Luke, with whom he also did a collaboration in 2008 under the guise ‘The Imaginary Friends’ on Art & Craft. His most recent remix is for U.K. rapper ‘Example’.

In 2009, Don has more remixes coming up on labels like Southern Fried, Data and Tommy Boy. Currently he’s producing part of Example’s forthcoming album together with other producers such as Herve and Chase & Status.

In his home country, the Netherlands, Don hosted a monthly Saturday night radio show on Radio 3FM (The Dutch equivalent to BBC Radio 1). He is also an ambassador for ‘Dance4Life’ – an international UN supported action campaign to fight against HIV and AIDS. In 2006, MTV captured Don’s trip to South Africa as he visited the projects. Furthermore, Don Diablo has received several nominations and awards in the last 18 months including: Nominee for ‘Best Music Video’ (TMF Awards); voted ‘Best Dressed Man of the Year’ (Esquire Magazine) and he was named ‘Most Popular Dutch DJ’ (GKA Awards).
