E for Explosion is hitting the road this spring with a slew of tour dates to support their debut full length Reinventing the Heartbeat. The band’s front-man Jamison Covington (formerly of JamisonParker) and band mates Dai Britain (keyboard) and Josh Elmore (bass) are resolved on bringing a style of shoegaze alt-rock to the masses, with the underpinnings of Covington’s personal and professional re-birth culminating on stage.

Reinventing the Heartbeat was produced by “one man army”, Dave Trumfio (OK Go, Wilco, My Morning Jacket) and released in 2008.

Jamison states that the debut album title stems from “this moment of clarity” that he experienced during a period of self-medication. “It was as if my eyes opened a little wider than they had been in a long time and instead of living in my little mess, I just wanted to start rebuilding”.

After facing considerable trials and tribulations in his music career, Jamison is finally free to put his own creativity into action through the release of his solo project and the sizable tours lined up to support it.

E For Explosion has already made waves on the live circuit sharing the stage with bands like the Plain White T’s and Coheed & Cambria.

Tour dates are scheduled nationally throughout 2009, with a month of dates in Europe starting in June.
