At the very least, the Maestro Dobel Diamond Tequila is the most experience spirit that we have ever had in the NeuFutur offices. Retailing at anywhere between 70 and 90 dollars, the Dobel Diamond is a majestic creature. A heavy stopper keeps the top orderly, while etched glass and a metal base tie everything together. Pulling out the dense and heavy metal and rubber cork gives imbibers their first impressions about the tequila itself, which comes forth with a strong but subtle bouquet. The alcoholic content is alluded to in this bouquet, but the Agave fragrance, among others is a constant force when one first ponders the Maestro Dobel Diamond.
The tequila goes down like the finest mountain spring water; instead of a bite or a burn, what results from downing a shot is a warm infusion of spirits into the body, a life-changing experience that few (if any) spirits are able to create. Hints of nature, both flora and the earth that supports them, are the key notes that are present with each sip. Hints of sweetness soon arise after that sip, ensuring that individuals will want to experience the Dobel Diamond again and again. The elegance of the Dobel Diamond tequila makes me feel bad for even suggesting it, but getting together all the ingredients – Grand Marnier, Margarita Mix, Lime, and the Maestro – one could conceivably make the world’s most decadent drink.
If you fancy yourself a fan of tequila in the least, I would whole-heartedly have to recommend the Maestro Dobel Diamond. Keep in mind that this is a Reposado; hopefully a day will come when those at Maestro Dobel decide to try their hand at a straight Anejo, rather than the “super-blend†of Reposado, Anejo and Extra-Anejo that goes into their “Diamond Reposadoâ€. Make sure to procure a bottle for yourself; the company says that quantities of the spirit are extremely limited, and are likely to go out of stock at any time.
