NIS America has ensured that each title that they bring over to the United States is simply stellar, and they go beyond that in the creation of mini-boxed sets for the titles that is exhaustive in the amount of information and additional features that they contain. This time around, the premium box set includes a soundtrack, a strip from the masterminds over at Penny Arcade, and a lyric sheet that splits the lyrics into the original Japanese and a translation for those that may not know the language. For individuals that may wonder where they may know the main character from, the Prinny race was created by NIS for Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, and have been featured in all subsequent titles by the company.

Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? is hands-down one of the funnies platformer titles that I’ve ever had the chance to play. Saying that, though, the game play and graphics present on the title are cutting-edge for the PSP, ensuring that the replay value for the title is as high as possible. The fact that players have 1,00 lives to complete the game with should not decrease the replay value in the slightest. This is because I burned through all of that number well short of the end of the game the first time I tackled the title, and I feel that this will not be too rare of an occurrence to most other people playing the title. Even if individuals complete the title without running out of lives, the present of times and grades given for completing the different levels (think Devil May Cry for this system) will bring out the perfectionist in anyone that has bought the game.

Speaking of dual languages – the box itself (and a great deal of the materials inside) – allow French-speaking players to be able to familiarize themselves with the game without much in the way of struggles. Anyways, Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero is the latest title by NIS, a side-scroller that builds off of some of the most memorable titles in the genre in the last twenty years (Golden Axe, Magic Sword) in the creation of a title that will constantly be in your PSP.
