To commemorate Record Store Day (http://www.recordstoreday.com) on April 18, Dengue Fever will be releasing a “split” 7” inch vinyl record of a previously unreleased track “Genjer Genjer” with the Brooklyn-based psychedelic surf cumbia band Chicha Libre (http://www.myspace.com/chichalibre) on Barbes Records (http://www.barbesrecords.com/). This 7” will be a limited edition pressing of 1000 and will be available in stores, online and on tour.

Later in the year, Dengue Fever will be releasing another split 7” with the Los Angeles-based band The Holloys (http://www.myspace.com/holloys) on Slapshot Records (http://www.myspace.com/slapshotrecords). Dengue Fever will contribute a remix to the track “Ethanopium” for this extremely limited edition pressing of 500 that will only be available online and on tour. To purchase both 7”, fans can visit the bands online store at: http://denguefevermusic.com/store/.

Always a fan of vinyl, Dengue Fever have released full-length LPs of Escape From Dragon House as well as Venus on Earth in addition to 7”s on Real World Records in 2008 and Berkeley’s college radio station KALX for their 45th Anniversary Edition 2×7” with Talking Heads, Mark Gardener and Supersonic, which was part of a 2007 fundraiser.
