Fresh off winning Fort Worth Weeklies Album of the year Ft Worth buzz-band The Burning Hotels refused to slow down as the band immediately hit the studio and recorded their forthcoming 2009 release Novels currently being mixed by Mark Needham (the Killers). Primed for conquest the band has also just wrapped filming their feature role in Walden Media’s film, Bandslam, starring David Bowie and Vanessa Hudgens to be released later this year with two original tracks to be included in the film’s Hollywood Records soundtrack. Look for the band to soon announce a full national tour in support of new CD and national film debut.

Combining post-punk inspirations and angular melodies, the Burning Hotels have all of the pieces for indie-rock stardom in place. Described by the FW Weekly as “One of town’s coolest bands period,” they create a driving sound, strongly founded on dark thoughts, propulsive rhythms, the group brings a fresh vitality to its irony-free music. And the enthusiasm of its members – on record and on stage – is as unmistakable as it is infectious

The Burning Hotels are: Chance Morgan (Vocals, Guitar), Matt Mooty (Vocals, Guitar) and Wyatt Adams (Drums) and Marley Whistler (Bass). The band was barely in their twenties when their self-released, debut EP, Eighty Five Mirrors, hit the street in the spring of 2007, and the buzz began.

The Burning Hotels are ripe for a rock and roll revolution, look for Novels to be released later this year until then check out the band here: www.myspace.com/theburninghotels
