Topshelf Records is proud to welcome My Heart To Joy to their ever-growing roster. Topshelf Records will be releasing the bands debut full length entitled, Seasons In Verse, on CD nationally on June 30th. The album will also be made available as an LP through Asbestos Records.

The Connecticut natives started as a 2-piece Orchid sound-alike band, under the name of David Schwimmer, and recorded the first four songs of the bands catalog with a $10 computer mic and some broken equipment. Shortly before entering the studio to record the Heavenly Bodies EP, which AP.net claims has “scathing vocals, supercharged riffs, and carefully layered guitars,” My Heart To Joy added a third member, Jon. Once Jon came into the picture, it was decided that a second guitarist was needed, and final member, Greg, entered the mix. With the line-up finally complete, My Heart To Joy hit the studio for a second time to record the EP Virgin Sails,

With a few DIY tours under their belts, and the attention of the press and fans alike, My Heart To Joy caught the attention of Topshelf Records. Label owner Seth D says, “These guys have so much potential, it is awesome to be working with them!”
