Cursive announces a new run of U.S. dates this June and July. Kicking off June 13th at the Westword Music Showcase in Denver, CO, the tour will take the band to and down the west coast before wrapping up July 1st at Club Sound in Salt Lake City, UT. The band’s current shows have already earned glowing praise, with the Riverfront Times’ A to Z music blog (St. Louis, MO) raving about the tour-opener: “Cursive killed it on Friday night at the Firebird…75 minutes of cathartic material that struck a nice balance between new tunes from its latest, Mama, I’m Swollen (“From the Hips,” “I Couldn’t Love You”) and back catalog (“Dorothy at 40,” “Some Red Handed Sleight of Hand,” “Art Is Hard”).”

Cursive’s sixth studio album, Mama, I’m Swollen, was released March 10th on Saddle Creek, capturing the attention of major media such as Rolling Stone, Billboard, Alternative Press, Playboy, and Time Out New York, among others. The band also made their network television debut March 13th on the Late Show with David Letterman (watch it here) with a kinetic performance of lead single “From The Hips” (watch the official video here). At the conclusion of the current spring tour, Cursive will head to the UK for two weeks in May. Full itinerary below.
