Unless I am forgetting something, I believe that this is the first time that we here at NeuFutur have had the ability to go and feature a Blu-Ray edition of a show’s complete season. Where a number of the different series’ seasons have crept into the 5 and 6 DVD releases, the increased storage size of the Blu-Ray ensure that what viewers are left with is something much less unwieldy. Beyond having the show presented with stellar audio and video, the major purchasing point for potential viewers would have to be the countless different features that are present on this release. The best grab here would have to be the podcasts, which tap each of the cast for further information. While there is some fun to be had with the informational Tools of the Trade featurette (describing in detail each of the tools used by Dexter), I would have to say that it is the former, rather than the latter, that will keep viewers interested. For those fans of newer shows, the inclusion of two distinct episodes of The United States of Tara further increase the value of the set.

Dexter eirself changes throughout the entirety of the season, gradually gaining a heart in eir interaction with individuals that leads to some serious ramifications for the serial killer. The major story arc is present throughout the series, and while there may be minor derivations from this arc, viewers are never left with any confusion regarding where each of the characters are at in the storyline.

For those individuals that have not had a chance to watch Dexter to this point, my strongest advice would be to go forth and buy all three of the seasons that have been captured (or will soon be captured) onto the Blu-Ray format. By checking out one of the major online retailers, there could even be a chance that you could get off the hook at an amount that is only minorly above $100. For over 30 hours of show, that price seems to be a pittance. Couple that with the number of distinct bonus features that are present on Season 2’s Blu-Ray set and individuals should not have a problem extending this time out all the way to 40 or 50 hours.
