Swedish black metallers MARDUK are preparing for their pillage through North America on this year’s Blackenedfest. The 22-date trek kicks off May 21st and will hit major cities throughout the US as well as Toronto and Montreal. Also on the tour: Mayhem, Cephalic Carnage, Cattle Decapitation and Withered.
Formed by guitarist Morgan Steinmeyer HÃ¥kansson with the goal of becoming the “most blasphemous band in the world,†it’s been nearly a decade since Marduk last toured the states making an already punishing tour package all the more crucial. Marduk’s latest album, Rom 5:12, was released in North America in May 2007 via Regain.
Said Marduk in a collective statement to fans: “We are delighted to announce Marduk’s return to North America. We do not come in peace, but with flames of fire! Looking forward to see you all!”
