– BIOGRAPHY –

Although his home state of New Jersey doesn’t offer much in the way of Traditional country music these days (Heck, there’s only one radio station and maybe a few bars if your into modern pop country and line dancing), Michael Patrick takes great pride in filling that void and offers fans a place to call home at his local area performances.

Michael didn’t always play country music. In High School he played heavy metal, wore leather and sported really long hair. Over time he joined in a Grateful Dead band that lasted 13 years and even toured with the Dead’s Keyboardist for a short period.

It was out of this genre that his true passion started unfolding when he discovered the Jerry Garcia bluegrass/traditional sounds inspiring him to dig further and reveal more traditional Country, Folk and Americana music.

Inspired by the more traditional country sounds of artists like Hank Williams and Johnny Cash,in 2004 Michael set out on a revival mission to keep this music alive and well in the area.

Since then, Michael has shared the stage with many national acts including Rosanne Cash, Marty Stuart, Billy Joe Shaver, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, David Allan Coe and Gary Allan to name just a few. He founded & fronts local groups “The Suburban Hillbillies” and his Johnny Cash Tribute Band: “Ring of Fire”.

Michael Patrick maintains a website at: “www.michael-patrick.net” which includes tour dates, media photos and audio clips.
