Whoever believes that dreams don’t come true, has never met Karolyn Marie Roberts.

Singer, Songwriter, (with over 300 songs to her credit) Poet, Writer and Entrepreneur (CEO of Los Angeles based TeaSigns Presents TeaShirts, (a woman’s and children’s clothing line), Karolyn is a Renaissance Woman for a new generation of women. Born and raised in suburban Southern California, Karolyn knew early that she wanted to sing. In fact, it was sometime between watching Annie at the age of 5, and seeing Madonna’s ‘Lucky Star’ video when she was 6 that she decided that she wanted to perform. It would be an uphill battle over the years, but a battle that would help mold the woman and the artist she is today.

Raised an only child in the Los Angeles suburb of Valencia, Karolyn spent much of her childhood dreaming of life outside Valencia (and the confides of the conservative home she grew up in: Dad was a Deputy Sheriff, Mom was a homemaker). She started recording demos at 16 and playing Los Angeles coffeehouses and small clubs in her late teens through early twenties. Roberts recorded dozens of demos during her youth, recording with producers Chris Julian (Carly Simon, Ray Davies, David Bowie), Les July (KD Lang), and Joe Solo (Macy Gray). In 2002, Roberts recorded ‘Jezebel,’ ‘I Just Wanna Be Loved’ and ‘The Best’ with Nashville based producer Dave Tough.

In 2003, Roberts recorded the single ‘Move Through’ which featured Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Alumni Ron Blair (Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Del Shannon) on Bass and Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, Chaka Khan) on drums.

Now don’t think that Roberts is satisfied just as a singer/songwriter&In 2005, Roberts launched Los Angeles based TeaSigns Presents!, which produces ‘TeaShirts’ (women’s t-shirt line), ‘I’m A Lil’ TeaPot’ (children’s t-shirt line), ‘TeaJeweled’ (matching jewelry line), “The TeaRoom’ (home décor line) and “TeaBags’ (matching bag line). Each of the products feature positive messages of following your dreams and believing in yourself. Roberts launched the company in hopes of teaching women and children self-esteem and inspiring the world to live their dreams.

Roberts is currently in the studio finishing her debut album ‘THIS Is Where I BEGIN’ slated for release in Fall of ’07. Roberts says the new album is “a little bit rock n’ roll, a little bit country, with a whole lot of blues and soul thrown in there too.” (The first three singles ‘All of Life’s Uncertainties,’ ‘Do You Believe In Angels’ and ‘Yesterday As A Child.’ Are currently available for download at www.myspace.com/karolynmarieroberts

Today, Karolyn Marie Roberts emerges a woman. Reflecting on where she’s come from, where she’s been and the even more amazing path that lies before her.
