Hessle Audio 008 sees the return of Jack ‘Untold’ Dunning to the label on which he made his debut release. Dunning began to develop his unique sound in the mid 90s through his formation of the Sabbatical Sound System, spinning jungle at Notting Hill Carnival, Glastonbury and free parties throughout the UK.
Untold arrived on the dubstep scene in 2008, with the ‘Kingdom EP’ on Hessle Audio 003, as well as remix work for Boka, Milanese and TRG. Through his newly formed and uncompromising label Hemlock, Untold unleashed the dark and quirky killers ‘Yukon’ and ‘Discipline’, as well as breaking new artists Fantastic Mr Fox and Rich Reason.
His much hyped remix of Toasty’s ‘Knowledge’ as well as an artist 12†on Hotflush are due to be released in the following months.
Hessle Audio was formed in Leeds in early 2007 by David Kennedy, Ben Thomson and Kevin McAuley. The label has released tunes by TRG, Martyn, Pangaea, Ramadanman, Joe and Untold. In addition, Hessle Audio tunes have appeared on compilations by Tempa, Scape, Soul Jazz and Global Underground.
