Hollywood, California based band Abused Romance is a melodic hard rock band. In March 2009, the band released their debut album “Naked Faces.” The album delivers 11 powerful songs that range from mainstream radio hits such as “Shine,” “Hit and Run” and “For Long” to the alternative hard rock anthems “Bleeding,” “Overcome” and “Silent Call”. Abused Romance fans often compare the band’s music to such bands as Incubus, Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars and Nickelback. The band is currently touring the west coast and will be releasing their single “Hit and Run” along with the music video to radio stations, internet and TV in May 2009.

Tel Aviv is 5667 miles from New York and 7552 miles from Los Angeles but for the rising hard rock band Abused Romance, music knows no bounds. Abused Romance was founded in 2007 when childhood friends Amit Ofir and Meir Yaniv crossed paths on the Hollywood rock scene. Soon enough the sights and sounds of the Los Angeles streets sunk in and the explosive 7 song EP was born. “The response from the EP was so overwhelming we realized we had something big and decided to go back to our home town of Tel Aviv, where we channeled our experiences into our songs” says guitarist Amit.

The buzz in Tel Aviv united Amit and Meir with Bassist Aetam Jakob and Drummer Roy Chen. Abused Romance became a tight live unit of four that becomes one when the first note is struck on stage. Soon after, the band relocated to Portland, Oregon hitting the local scene and building a strong following of dedicated fans. In 2008 the band headed to New York City and spent three months recording their debut album, “Naked Faces,” which was released in March 2009.

A few more miles in the air and in 2009 Abused Romance is back in LA coming full circle. The single “Hit and Run” will be released early May 2009 along with a frantic music video.
