Although their name would invoke yuletide tidings and blissful chanting, U.S. CHRISTMAS creates music which is anything but. Spanning the dark, decrepit and painful side of disharmonic psychedelia, this North Carolina outfit has successfully distilled the essence of cacophony through countless layers of sound and crushing waves of volume that are an orchestrated assault on the senses. None other than Neurosis’ Scott Kelly took notice of U.S. CHRISTMAS through his Combat Music Radio show, playing their material regularly on the show which ultimately led to a release on their esteemed Neurot Recordings imprint.

I’m Better Than Everyone Records will be releasing a live full-length LP. One side will consist of a live acoustic set recorded the day before Atlanta’s 2009 Scion festival, while the remaining wax will contain one new and unreleased live track alongside a live non-acoustic version of their song “Say Sister.”

Release date slated for sometime this August. Stay tuned for details.
