Universal Records South’s award-winning artist Phil Vassar is releasing the video for his brand new single “Bobbi With An I” exclusively to AOL, the international #1 music site. Shot in Nashville, Phil enlisted the help of his friend and actor James Denton (Desperate Housewives) to create a video fitting for this fun, summer song that, under the direction of Eric Welch, is sure to garner a few laughs. “Bobbi With An I,” written by Phil and Craig Wiseman, is the debut single from Phil’s forthcoming studio album set to be released later this summer. Go to AOLMusic.com to watch Phil Vassar, James Denton and Bobbi With An I.

“Bobbi With An I” was recently released to radio and has already earned quite a buzz. “Bobbi is actually a guy I knew—this outrageous guy who showed up at a club one night dressed as a girl,” states Phil about the subject of his new single. “It was just a funny way to pick up chicks.”

Actor and fellow Tennessean James Denton was glad to help Phil out, “I’ve always been a big fan of Phil’s so working with him on the “Share The Beat” events was a lot of fun for me. The guy donates an unbelievable amount of his time to charity. I was happy to be part of one of his videos – particularly a song that’s as much fun as “Bobbi”. We have a lot in common. He’s a family guy. The shoot was a real family affair – his sister, mom and daughter were all at the shoot and that told me a lot about him.”

The initial response from listeners has been overwhelmingly positive from coast to coast. Mike Culotta (Operations Manager / Program Director at CBS Radio in Tampa Bay) says, “’Bobbi With An I’”, what a hoot. The minute we got it we put it on the air and listeners responded immediately with laughter and applause. They got it. They loved it. And the requests keep coming. So loosen up… Have some fun and put a smile on your listeners faces this summer with “’Bobbi With An I.’”
