San Fran’s Trainwreck Riders have just announced their summer tour in support of the release of The Perch (May 12th, Alive Records). (“Chug Along” and “Safety Of A Back” are both still available for free download.) As far as the tour gues, this ain’t no cushy tour bus endeavor. Trainwreck Riders will be taking their music to the places where it was born: bars, basements and backyards. Remember how much fun shows used to be? Before the $12 beers, before the VIP section, before you knew what a guestlist was? Trainwreck Riders make pure, simple, back to basics twang rock a la Deertick, Modest Mouse, and Two Gallants. So, give in to the fan boy/girl inside of you, and go out to a show for fun’s sake.

Need more reasons to check out Trainwreck Riders? Rolling Stone and Spin like them. Here’s what they had to say:

“Trainwreck Riders brought an element of San Francisco jam to their alt-country stylings, and within one song were able to channel a dozen moods and hopscotch through just as many genres.” – Spin.com

“There’s something really cute and old-timey about this San Fran foursome.” – RollingStone.com
