Having sold over 225,000 albums in one month, Chickenfoot, comprised of guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, and Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony maintain a #2 position on the Billboard Indie Albums Chart and #21 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. These positions follow a strong debut at #4 for two weeks in a row and a top 10 position for the first three weeks. The band has also announced two more summer tour dates in Denver, CO on September 11th at The Fillmore and in San Antonio, TX at Sunset Station on September 20th for their recently announced first major North American tour. Sales were strong for the first of Chickenfoot’s shows that went on sale June12th. Fans can get tickets at Ticketmaster locations and www.ticketmaster.com.

Chickenfoot has been hailed by critics:

“Hagar and Satriani have embedded plenty of hooks and compact solos in these tunes, and the refreshingly agile rhythm section motors them along.” — USA Today

“Chickenfoot’s self-titled debut favors straight-ahead rockers like the single “Oh Yeah” or the blues-fed “Sexy Little Thing,” and “Soap on a Rope” sounds like a Led Zeppelin outtake sent back from the year 2019.” — Billboard

“…the band rocks with a vengeance, delivering bludgeoning blows that mix AC/DC-style scorched metal with goodtime riff-rock.” –Performing Songwriter

“…as much as these names alone carry carte blanche in the rock hierarchy, Chickenfoot is more than a vanity project because it is a fully realized rock monster. If I still had my 1979 Trans-Am, this would be glued into the cassette deck. It’s that good.” –Envy Magazine

“…the band’s bombastic debut CD pretty much proves Chickenfoot is a cohesive unit of amazing players who truly enjoy zoning into each other’s musical passions, and having one huge blast churning out rock and roll thrills. Modeled after Led Zeppelin’s riff-and-rhythm propelled onslaught, Chickenfoot evokes the raw, electric energy of the ‘70s bands expanding the vocabulary of blues rock, while simultaneously keeping the tones and grooves sharp and modern.” — Guitar Player

This upcoming tour will visit larger venues than the May North American club tour, which sold out in a matter of minutes and received strong reviews. Additional dates will be announced shortly.

Chickenfoot made their first ever TV performing appearance during the first week of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien on Friday, June 5th. The self-titled debut is a hard rock album that sets the standard for rock music. “The album is an 11-song slab of raging rock,” says writer Joe Bosso of Guitar World magazine. Chickenfoot is produced by Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones) and mixed by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica). The band’s first single, “Oh Yeah,” has been embraced by radio. It has proven to be a true multi-format smash, topping both the mainstream and classic rock charts at #1, as well as charting in active rock.
