Sean Hoots and Andrew Gray (also known as Hellmouth) began making music together in 2005. They both began writing songs, and before long the duo was expanded to a five-man band. With Hoots and Gray sharing the lead vocals, the ensemble includes Robert Berliner (background vocals and mandolin), John Brannigan (bass) and Bob Beach (harmonica).

The band made a big impression at the Philadelphia Folk Festival in 2006 and afterward began through touring throughout the South. In 2007 they were picked up by Mad Dragon Records and released their self-titled, premiere CD. Their latest CD,Holy Open Secret, was released last month.
