The visionary duo The Books are hitting the road this fall, performing their impressive multimedia set in venues across the country. The Books have carved a niche for themselves mixing brilliant song-writing and minimalist instrumentation with found sound pastiches, crafting some of the infectious albums that have been made in recent years. This aesthetic applies to the live show as well, where they have sifted through hours of found video, and edited them down to video pieces that interact beautifully with their music in a live setting. These performances will feature new material that the duo has been writing for an upcoming album.

Don’t miss out on one of the most amazing live experiences you’ll witness.

They’ve taken moments of contemplation– when one understands something on an emotional level but can’t quite articulate his thoughts– and dressed it up in a melodic frame. immediately accessible despite absences of obvious reference points…(their) records felt like gifts, demanding little from the listener but paying out handsomely. – PITCHFORKMEDIA.COM
