Wild Beasts are making their way stateside for the release of the extraordinary Two Dancers, out September 8th on Domino! They’ll be bringing their swooning pop to New York for the first time ever on Tuesday, Sep. 8th at Joe’s Pub. Not only is this the UK band’s first New York performance, but its also their first performance in the U.S. outside of Austin! Those who were lucky enough to catch Wild Beasts during SXSW this year can attest to what a treat this is, and those who have seen them recently perform in the UK are already well versed in the band’s striking prowess.

“Singer Hayden Thorpe’s spine-chilling falsetto soars across the thundering drums and strumming guitars . . . The crowd are engrossed, wrapped in a dream that only ends when the last note rings out.” — NME

“There are hints of early Roxy Music, Sparks and second world war military bands (‘cheerio, chaps’, they sing), all conspiring to make them probably the most original new band in Britain. . . Thorpe’s voice — veering from Billy Mackenzie opera to a more laddy, Fratelli-type rasp — prompts gasps of ‘incredible’ in the crowd. And the rhythm section are furiously inventive. . . ” — The Guardian

Additionally, Wild Beasts are inviting people to listen to “All The King’s Men” off of Two Dancers. Their Daytrotter session from SXSW is finally up for the world to hear, as well. Listen, download, enjoy!
