After holing up for months in their attic apartment to record their new album Apple’s Acre, Nurses are succumbing to the call of the road. Having just completed a U.S. tour with Throw Me The Statue and The Brunettes, Nurses are going back out on the road. They’re flying solo until they hit Baltimore, where they meet up with Le Loup for another lap of these United States. Shortly after they return home to Portland, OR they will perform December 19 on the venerable radio variety show Live Wire, which has alternately been called both Oregon Public Broadcasting’s own version of A Prairie Home Companion, and “the retro-hip kid sister of Saturday Night Live.”

When Nurses were last out in New York, they met up with The Tripwire for a fireside performance, and the debut of a new song “So Sweet”. Playing with stripped down instrumentation, it is a wonderful watch and listen as you see this brand new song spill forth from the collective mind of Nurses. Complete with charming melodic sense, quirky guitar accents, and a simple and unassuming demeanor, this song lives up to it’s name, soooo sweet.
