There is a seriously high amount of pears in the Clear Creek Pear Brandy. The website for the Clear Creek Distillery says that thirty pounds of Pears are utilized in each 750ML bottle of their brandy. The initial nose from the Pear Brandy is nothing to scoff at; one smell and an individual will be floored if they are not expecting it. This is not a lightly-fragranced spirit, and while the taste of the spirit is palatable, there is a sharp alcohol nose with a little fruit added in.

When individuals finally are able to taste the spirit, they may be similarly taken back. This is due to the nooks and crannies which this Pear Brandy has; where the taste is strong, one may need a number of samples in them before understanding exactly what Clear Creek is attempting to do here. The spirit shines the brightest when individuals stick the bottle in the freezer for a few hours – there is an additional set of interactions that make this spirit more of an enigma.

While the spirit would have legs in fruit-based cocktails, I feel that there is a high enough quality with this Pear Brandy to exclusively take it as a sipping or a shooting drink. If you would like to make the day of any pear or spirit fanatic, double your investment from the base $40 and get a bottle of the Brandy with a real-life pear in it. Regardless of one’s purchase, the acquisition of this bottle is integral for anyone that is wanting to flesh out a bar to an appreciable level.
