Legendary rock band Foreigner will hit the road in May with co-headliner Styx and special guest Kansas for the United in Rock tour. Responsible for a combined 16 Top Ten classics and over 100 million album sales, the three iconic bands will provide rock fans with the summer’s biggest night of hits. In anticipation of the summer trek, Foreigner will return to late night television with a performance on Lopez Tonight on Monday, March 29.

United in Rock will bring three decades of hits to the stage from three of rock’s most influential bands. Foreigner, Styx and Kansas have been creating chart-topping songs for over thirty years and continue to entertain fans year after year with their energetic stage shows.

“Super line up and amazing songs,” said Foreigner’s Mick Jones. “We’re looking forward to touring with our friends in these two great bands and we can’t wait to burn up the summer. Let’s rock!”

Tickets for United in Rock dates in Boston, Kansas City, St. Louis and Chicago are already on sale. Additional tour dates and on sales will be announced shortly at www.LiveNation.com. Select markets will have a limited number of tickets available for $10*, giving rock fans a great night of music for a great price.

Foreigner recently returned to the charts with an impressive Top 30 debut of their current album Can’t Slow Down, released by Rhino Entertainment exclusively through Wal-Mart and Walmart.com. The three-disc collection features a CD of all new music, a CD of original re-mixed hit recordings and a DVD including live concert and behind the scenes footage of the band on the road. That same week, Foreigner’s 2008 release No End In Sight re-entered the Billboard Top 200 for a record-breaking sixth time.

Dan Cairns of England’s The Sunday Times commented on Foreigner’s continued ability to write classic music in his review of Can’t Slow Down. “’When It Comes to Love,’ ‘I Can’t Give Up,’ ‘In Pieces’ and ‘Too Late’ already sound like lighters-aloft stadium standards,” said Cairns “Musically perfect for Glee.”

After 30 years, the band’s success story carries on with a current #15 ranking in Classic Rock radio airplay (Source: MediaBase) and a #10 ranking among Classic Rock artist catalog sales (Source: Nielsen SoundScan). Following a recent performance of “Hot Blooded” on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, the band will make a return to late night television when they perform another one of their classic hits on Lopez Tonight on Monday, March 29. The band will also perform their latest single, “In Pieces,” for the show’s website.

Universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world, Foreigner has racked up nine top ten smash hits, six multi-platinum albums, and scores of sold out concert tours. From “Feels Like The First Time” and “Cold As Ice” to “Hot Blooded,” “Urgent” to “Jukebox Hero,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You” to the chart topper “I Want To Know What Love is,” Foreigner’s thrilling mix of blustery blues and impeccably crafted pop continues to captivate generation after generation of music fans.

Foreigner recently performed the title track from their latest album Can’t Slow Down to a sellout crowd and a TV audience of over six million NASCAR fans at The Pepsi 500, an event that helped drive the bands catalog sales to the point where they currently outsell those of the Eagles, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, and most of their rock peers. Today, over 70 million albums later and led by lead guitarist and founder Mick Jones, Foreigner is an ensemble of talented musicians with credentials that make the band stronger and more powerful than ever.
