Eulogy owner John Wylie added “We are very excited in our newest signing THE WAR from Australia. They have all the elements we look for in a band including their strong work ethic, positive attitude and great music. We are honored to have them represent us on the “Mission Quest To Metal Fest” Tour so make sure to check them out.”

Bio:
Since their formation in 2005, Queensland’s THE WAR, a 4 member Straight Edge band, has taken themselves further then any straight edge band in Australia has before. After releasing a demo in early 2006 and playing heavily, they were asked to do a split CD with the Wrath on European label Double Crossed in early 2007, being the start of The War’s assault on the world. In early 2007 The War were signed to American straight edge record label Seventh Dagger which was something no Australian straight edge band had done before. Teaming up with Seventh Dagger saw them release the album “Unconquered” to American audiences, showing the world what Australian straight edge is about. In late 2007 Melbourne record label Washed Up Records signed the war for the Australian release of “Unconquered” which saw them touring nationwide. In their life span they have shared the Australian stage with bands including Parkway Drive, The Acacia strain (USA), Champion (USA), Bleeding Through (USA), Earth Crisis (USA), The Red Shore, Carpathian and Deez Nuts. 2008 saw The War playing constantly once more all around Australia, and were also asked to play the Melbourne Sike Your Mind festival. After this eventful year they took a break to write their follow up to the 2007 release “Unconquered”. 2009 was yet another big year for The War in which they departed from Washed Up records to sign with Dogfight Records for the 2009 release “Confront”.
With “Confront” also being released in America through Seventh Dagger, they brought the boys to the USA for a tour with bands like xTyrantx, Casey Jones, Suicide Pact, Conqueror to list a few. Rounding off the states tour would see The War play the huge New England Metal and Hardcore Fest with Lamb Of God, Emmure, God Forbid, Terror and much more. Since returning from America, The War’s onslaught hasn’t let up with them playing the national Dogfight Records Takedown Tour with label mates Relentless and No Way Out, and being the main support for The Red Shore on their national Lost Verses album launch tour last September.
Now after taking time off to write there 3rd studio record and with Eulogy re-releasing “Confront” in the United States, they travel back overseas and hit the road for 3 weeks with big hitters Death Threat, Death Before dishonor and fellow Eulogy band The Mongoloids on the “Mission Quest To Metal Fest” tour. This tour has over 20 shows leading up to the 2010 New England Metal and Hardcore Fest where they will share the stage with bands such as the Cro- Mags, Earth Crisis, Cannibal Corpse and much more.
