AutoVaughn will be hitting the road this spring / summer opening for Cage The Elephant. (tour dates below). The four-piece indie band from Nashville, TN will also release a new album, The Science of Our Time, later this year.
AutoVaughn recently won the Fender Road Worn Competition. The contest included more than 6,000 bands nationwide and millions of online visitors watched videos, posted comments and voted. The band’s video from the contest is here: AutoVaughn Fender Video Here
True road warriors, AutoVaughn have spent the last two years touring playing a number of festivals, SXSW and with various bands Rooney, The Ravonettes, Superdrag, The Kooks, Fiction Plane, They Might Be Giants, Chevelle, The Whigs, VHS or Beta, Team, Better than Ezra, etc. Their music has been featured in film and television such as The Vampires Diaries, One Tree Hill and various MTV shows.
AutoVaughn’s music manages to blend the 90’s era tension of the alternative movement with a brit-pop influence. The band is lead singer/guitarist Darren Edwards, lead guitarist/background vocalist Stephen Wilson, bassist/background vocalist Ben Graham and drummer Andy Grooms.
