There were a number of different storylines to be cleaned up when Nip/Tuck entered its sixth and final season, but I feel as if the creators of the show were able to do this. For those individuals that may have missed this season of the show the first time around, Warner Brothers has just released a DVD set of these episodes. The biggest shakeup to the cast has to be the addition of Dr. Mike Hamoui (played here by Mario Lopez), in order to keep the practice afloat and somewhat successful. The show itself ends with the 100th episode, which determines once and for all what will ultimately happen with the all-encompassing relationship between Sean and Christian. Newer storylines are a little bit problematic – such as the one that finishes off with Matt attempting a high crime while in mime makeup – but the season itself has a good enough pace and ends with a number of loose storylines wrapped up.

In terms of the nuts and bolts on the DVD set, the video transfer onto the DVD is simply fantastic, with realistic but bright hues picked up. Related, and just as important, the dialogue here is crisp and clear, without anything in the way of audible flaws. While there is not too much in the way of additional features present on this DVD set, the nearly twenty-minute “Tell Me What You Don’t Like About Yourself” plumbs the depths why exactly individuals go in for surgery, what the doctors feel before they cut into patients, and how desiring plastic surgery could actually be a negative thing.

Make sure to pick up any missing seasons that you may still need, to properly understand each storyline and different twist and turn that the show’s creators have provided.
