Spending Time with Morgan
Ane Brun recorded her debut album ‘Spending Time with Morgan’ while finishing her University studies in Stockholm. Soon there was no more time for studies. It didn’t take long before Ane and her small independent record label DetErMine were licensing the record all over the world through a licence/distribution deal with V2 Music. The album was released in 2003 and got fantastic reviews and soon she became a full-time touring- and recording artist. If someone had told her a few years ago that she was going to tour the world with her own music, she would laugh in your face and not even consider it a possibility.

In 2005 Ane Brun released a collection of 10 songs called”Duets”.
After enjoying the collaboration on the previous few duets she had recorded, Ane was inspired to ask some artists whom she adored to sing with her on a full album called, of course, ‘Duets’. This album was released in November 2005 and besides another recording with Ron Sexsmith it also included songs with artists such as Syd Matters and Teitur. The collaboration with the band Madrugada on the #1 single ‘Lift Me’ gained her another Norwegian Grammy for Hit of The Year.

Live in Scandanavia
‘Live In Scandinavia’ (2007) is Ane Brun’s very first Live album. It was recorded during her Scandinavian tour in 2006 and features The DMF string quintet, Nina Kinert and the guitarist Staffan Johansson. The album includes songs from Ane’s first two albums with new string arrangements by Malene Bay-Foged and also two covers written by PJ Harvey and Jeff Buckley. The album got nominated for a Norwegian Grammy.

”Sketches” contains demo versions of the songs from Ane Brun’s latest studio album ”Changing of the seasons”. The songs are mostly performed with voice and guitar or voice and piano. We are excited to release these versions, as they have something different. The simplicity of the production, and also the presence in the performance when recording a song for the first time tends to add something special. And for the live-audience; if you see Ane at a solo-show, this would be more or less the way she would play them. ”Sketches” also presents two new tracks, “Miss Moaning” and “My baby’s Arms”. Both favorites of Ane’s, but they didn’t fit the context of the album ”Changing of the Seasons”.
