that’s where i’d been for a week. the result of a memorial day motorcycle
wreck. On my feet now. playing now. eyes open. where did i go?
speeding down back roads. here. there. slat ribbed curs in the shoulder weeds.
Dreams of some actress. A hole in her chin.
New skin now. mostly whole again but with new marks there in silvery pink or purple grey.
that thing was too shiny and new anyhow.
i need to pay down this ER bill.
