Matt Costa is proud to announce the release of his third album, Mobile Chateau, on September 21st via Brushfire Records.
The new record was recorded at Pheasant Studios in Santa Ana, CA with Costa taking the production reins for the first time.
A fall tour has been confirmed with dates throughout the US and Canada, dates are shown below or visit the website
for additional information.

Mobile Chateau’s sound is a distinct departure from Costa’s previous work. Mining his longtime love for ‘60s psychedelic
superheroes like Donovan, 13th Floor Elevators, the Zombies, the Electric Prunes, and the West Coast Pop Art Experimental
Band, the new album is a bold step forward into the kaleidoscopic beyond. “I’ve always been drawn to that sound,”
Costa reveals. “I’ve been hearing songs like these in my head for my whole life and Mobile Chateau is the closest
I’ve gotten to getting those songs out of my head and onto a record.”

Costa’s latest effort comes in the wake of his critically acclaimed 2006 debut, Songs We Sing, and 2008’s well-received
Unfamiliar Faces. His sophomore set yielded the breakout single “Mr. Pitiful,” which featured prominently in the hit comedy
I Love You, Man and an iPhone ad campaign, and sent him criss-crossing the globe for well over a year. There were stints
with Death Cab for Cutie and Modest Mouse, as well as a high-profile tour with Oasis and Ryan Adams & the Cardinals.
