On the heels of the release of his third studio album, Airtight’s Revenge, Bilal has confirmed dates for his 2010 North American tour. The Grammy-nominated crooner who has collaborated with superstars Beyonce, Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs will zigzag the continent bringing his signature sound to intimate venues. Tickets are now on sale at Ticketmaster.com.

“I’m really excited to get on the road and share this new music with my fans. They have supported me over the years when I didn’t even have an album out so I want to get back out there and not only have fun with them but also thank them for their years of support,” said Bilal.

Having already completed a sold out European tour last month, Bilal will perform along with Lyfe Jennings at the 2nd Annual WEEN Awards hosted by Lauren London.

Bilal’s North American tour will make more than 20 stops, at a mix of venues throughout this fall, beginning on September 15th at Scullers Jazz Club in Boston, MA through October 28th at Echo Plex in Los Angeles, CA with more dates to be announced soon. A dynamic performer with a celebrated falsetto, Bilal’s tour promises to be a genre-bending musical experience unlike anything he has ever released.

Airtight’s Revenge, Bilal’s third studio album will be released on September 14th on Plug Research and distributed by The Orchard. The eagerly anticipated album is a provocative genre-bending album that dissects love, politics and relationships. Airtight’s Revenge demonstrates the Philly-bred singer’s growth as an artist. “It’s a mix of jazz, hip-hop, soul, blues, and experimental free music,” says Bilal. The differences in economical social classes inspired the track “Robots,” which scrutinizes societal and governmental effects on people. Steve McKie (Jill Scott, Estelle, Kindred, Vivian Green) co-produced the album with Bilal, recorded in Philadelphia, Virginia and Los Angeles. The album also features production by Nottz (Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Drake), 88 Keys (Mos Def, Macy Gray, Musiq Soulchild), Shafiq Husayn of Sa-Ra and Tone Whitefield.
