Three seasons into it and The Big Bang Theory is still nowhere close to losing its rep for being one of the most original sitcoms still being churned out by one of the major networks.

Based around a duo of tragically nerdy physicists, Leonard Hofstadter (played by Johnny Galecki) and his roommate Sheldon Cooper (played to the hilt by Jim Parsons), the show has all the pretext of a traditional sitcom complete with the attractive blonde waitress that lives across the hall (Kaley Cuoco). While the set ups may be predictable, the writing is far from the standard fare, mixing brilliant geek references with sharp wit.

Season three is by far the strongest year yet, one that finds the show comfortably in its groove with the jokes being spread out equally among the strong cast. Let’s see how long they can keep it going.
