VeneMusic, the dynamic music label of Venevision International, a global entertainment company of the Cisneros Group of Companies, announced they had reached a deal with Yanni-Wake Entertainment for the distribution and marketing of future Latin-themed albums produced by Yanni, considered the most successful contemporary instrumentalist of all time.

The first of these productions to be released is “Yanni, Mexicanísimo,” [loosely translated means ‘Very Mexican’] a musical gem that, without a doubt, represents the most ambitious project dedicated to Mexico in honor of the commemorations of the Bicentennial of its Independence and the Centennial of its Revolution. This album, which will be available on October 19th, is a journey through Mexican songs, each having achieved great international success, and presented as great instrumental pieces in Yanni’s unique style and incorporating the sound of Mariachi.

“Yanni, a great artist for a great concept: ‘Mexicanísimo.’ To be able to bring this project to fruition just in time to celebrate Mexico’s Bicentennial is perfect timing,” said Jorge A. Pino L., Vice President of Venevision International, Music who presides over the company’s record labels, Vene Music and Siente Music.

“Mexico will always have a place in my heart. I have visited the country many times and the people have always treated me like one of their own. It is an honor to be a part of the project honoring Mexico and its music during this Bicentennial period,” said Yanni, who has performed in the some of the most famous places in the world, such as the Toji Temple in Tokyo, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Taj Mahal in India, the Forbidden City in China and the Acropolis in his native Greece. “In honoring Mexican music I have been able to work directly with accomplished Mexican musicians along with the guest appearances by two of Mexico’s greatest singers: Lucero and Pepe Aguilar. I love the music that we performed together and I hope that the people of Mexico will feel the same joy with this project.”
