HE IS WE Announces Tour Dates with The Rocket Summer

“This has been such an exciting past few months for me; I’m ready to release this record and finally get out on the road,” says HE IS WE guitarist Trevor Kelly. On the cusp of releasing their debut full-length on Universal Motown this November, alt-pop duo He Is We recently announced a lengthy run of tour dates supporting The Rocket Summer. He Is We will take a day off on The Rocket Summer tour to support Yellowcard on Nov 13th in Pomona, CA at the Glass House, which is one of Yellowcard’s highly-anticipated U.S. shows this year (see all tour dates below).

He Is We members Rachel Taylor and Trevor Kelly inked a deal earlier this year with Universal Motown in a partnership with FrameworkNY after being named PureVolume’s #1 Unsigned Band of 2009. Armed with songs such as the airy “Happily Ever After” and the soaringly epic “Light A Way,” He Is We built a fervent following and became one of the fastest growing bands ever on the site. With over 2.5 million plays and over 160,000 downloads to date, He Is We posted a free download of the Old Demos EP as a thank you to their fans, which has received over 50,000 downloads to date.

For their debut, He Is We enlisted local producers Casey Bates (Chiodos, Portugal. The Man, Foxy Shazaam) and Aaron Sprinkle (The Almost, Eisley, Pedro The Lion, Mae) to help harness their sound, with additional recording done in New York City with Dan Romer (Ingrid Michaelson). He Is We spent the summer road testing a handful of new songs while headlining a number of tour dates, supporting Bobby Long, co-headlining a run with Andrew Belle, as well as performances at SXSW and the Bamboozle Left festival in March.
