Moe Green’s new video for the song “Iced Out Lifestyle,” produced by Indecent The Slapmaster, is all about contradictions. The clip includes scenes of a man who appears homeless and yet carries an iPhone. He drinks a 40oz of Steel Reserve in front of an empty building, yet is later shown to be driving Cadillac. The emcee, himself, is frequently shown in front of a sign welcoming you to Vallejo, his hometown, and advertising it as “the city of opportunity.” These juxtapositions are made to, perhaps, show that the “iced out lifestyle” Moe raps about isn’t necessarily the key to happiness. Although rich, the homeless-seeming man enjoys pursuits that have little to do with money.

This video is the first to come out from Moe’s forthcoming free, seven song EP collaboration with OnSmash.com, set for a November release. Considering the rapper is still hot off the heels of Rocky Maivia, those attending the AC3 Hip-Hop Festival should be in store for a jam-packed performance from Moe at the B.A.R.T. Showcase this Friday, October 8th. The Bay Area-themed showcase is hosted by Lyrics Born and will, in addition to Moe Green, feature performances from Erk Tha Jerk, DaVinci, Mistah FAB, TRUTHLiVE, The Jacka, Exile, Crown Royale, J. Pinder, and more.
