Ghanaian hip-hop innovator Kae Sun’s brilliant debut album Lion On A Leash was released worldwide through MB3 Records on November 9, 2010. Previously, Lion On A Leash was released exclusively in Canada on URBNET Records (Moka Only, D-Sisive, DL Incognito). On October 12, Kae released his own interpretation of Bob Marley’s “Natural Mystic” as a stand-alone digital single, also via MB3 Records.
Praised by influential urban music tastemaker Okay Player as “a definite must hear for heads looking for diversity in their hip hop”, Kae Sun’s fresh, versatile sound has long received glowing reviews from leading music journalists everywhere. Genre Music referred to his new Lion On A Leash as “polished, moving and diverse,” while EURWeb claimed that Kae “brings a much needed new light to the industry”.

Based in Toronto, ON, Kae Sun has long been active in the Canadian music scene and part of a progressive hip-hop movement that spawned notable emcees such as K’naan, K-OS, Shad, and Drake. His music has received support from CBC Radio across the country as well as Alan Cross’ ExploreMusic website and radio show. Music videos for “Lion On A Leash” and “On The Lookout” have received heavy rotation from MuchMusic, MuchMoreMusic, and MuchVibe. Kae Sun is a frequent participant in Canadian music festivals including NxNE, Pop Montreal, Hillside Music Festival, Toronto Jazz Festival and Afrofest. Earlier this year, Kae Sun completed an extensive cross-Canada tour in support of Lion On A Leash and garnered a nomination for “Best Rap Artist” from The Toronto Independent Music Awards.

Other artists on MB3 Records and The MuseBox Distribution include Röyksopp, The Fumes, Paper Lions, Brute Chorus, Living Days, My Other Friend, The Oholics and more to be announced.
