Straight from the cities of Dublin and London are two young producers/DJs who over the past two years have taken the underground by storm: Arveene & MiSK.

As remixers, their credits read like a who’s who in electronic dance music, including the likes of Mr. Oizo, The Prodigy, Calvin Harris, Felix da Housecat, Zombie Nation, Kitsune, Ed Banger, Bang Gang, and Turbo. The same could be said about their supporters, among them being Fake Blood, Annie Mac, Tiga, Busy P, DJ Mehdi, Brodinski, Boy 8-bit, Burns, Sinden, Jaymo & Andy George, and of course Erol Alkan who has backed Arveene & MiSK since day one. Since the release of their massive “Hell’s Bells,” the duo has been on a music production mission. Their second release, which dropped on highly respected Aussie dance label Bang Gang, was the beautifully twisted piece of electro “Eavesdropper.”

Since then, Arveene & MiSK, in between live performances, have been living in the studio working on their debut album which promises to be a genre-busting collection of dance floor heat that showcases the wide breadth of their musical tastes, their skill as machine manipulators and their ever-growing sophistication as song writers. The first offering is their new single “Love & Lust,” featuring the vocals of Steo Gunn, dropping on NY-based Plant Music.

The song’s disquieting vocals come to life with Arveene & MiSK’s staccato housey percussion and slick, unpredictable synth work that eventually builds into a wall of relentlessly twisting bass and mayhem. For the remixes, the duo has enlisted the newly formed Africans on Marz (a collaboration between clubland legend Ashley Beedle and Darren Morris) as well as One Man Party and Tag Team Terror. This single promises to be Arveene & MiSK’s biggest to date and it will be supported by a live show incorporating live synths, drum machines, DJing and custom visuals.
