Goldspot frontman Siddhartha Khosla continues his love affair with 1960s-era Bollywood yet takes it to a whole new level with “Ina Mina Dika,” sung entirely in his native tongue of Hindi. In an original take on an Indian classic, he bestows his unique sunny, electro-pop meets Sgt. Peppers-flavor to the forthcoming single. The infectious new ditty is featured today as “Today’s Top Tune” on KCRW.

The release of this track marks history as Goldspot is the first American artist to offer a single in Hindi. The song, now available worldwide on iTunes, will be complemented by a visually lavish video in early 2011. “Ina Mina Dika” is currently accompanied by additional tracks from his sophomore album, the critically acclaimed, And The Elephant is Dancing, on the soundtrack for the feature film “Today’s Special.” The new tandoori comedy stars Aasif Mandvi of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Goldspot’s buoyant repertoire has enjoyed extensive licensing success, most notably for recent Apple and ebay advertisements, as well as the trailer for “How Do You Know,” starring Reese Witherspoon, Jack Nicholson, Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson.

Earlier this year, Goldspot dropped by NPR for an interview.
