Despite having countless movies, music releases, and the like to their credit, Disney has a gravy train still on their hands with the Hannah Montana franchise. Who Is Hannah Montana collects a set of episodes that bridges the span between the original series (Hannah Montana) and the final season, which is slated to come out this next year. The show, rather than merely rehashing many of the trends and storylines presented in the first few series, honestly does try to change things up. This means that while there are still new songs to be had, the show has been given a different dressing all around. The introduction has changed, Miley’s house is different, and even the songs that are played in episodes like “Sweet Home Hannah Montana” (Are You Ready (Superstar)) and “It’s The End of the Jake as We Know It” (“Need A Little Love”) represent this wind of change.
Furthermore, the show looks better – Disney has upgraded the filming style for the HD set, and everything just seems to pop episode-in and out. The cast seems to shift a little more than in previous seasons, as Mitchel Musso and Moises Arias take less-active roles. Add a few fun guest-stars like Sheryl Crow (It’s The End of the Jake) and Christine Taylor (California Screamin’), and the show continues to chug along nicely.
For those individuals that wish to have some additional reason to pick up Who Is Hannah Montana, Disney has graciously included a sneak-peak into Ashley Tisdale’s latest movie, Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure. Make sure to pick this (and previous seasons) up, just to catch up with the cultural phenomenon that is Hannah Montana. Hopefully in just a few months, the show’s newest episodes will begin to air.
