HE IS WE’s newly recorded acoustic version of “Blame It On The Rain” was released at the end of last week via Tweet for a Track (http://www.tweetforatrack.com/), and landed at #1 on its “Most Downloaded” chart. The original version of the track can be found on their album MY FOREVER which was released digitally two months ago on Universal Motown and was available in the band’s merch store online and on tour as of February 1, 2011. This impressive chart position is just one of He Is We’s many astounding chart positions that the Tacoma, WA-based duo have amassed since they began just two years ago. Debuting on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album Chart at #6 and on iTunes’s Pop Album Chart to #3, the band unveils the companion video to “Blame It On the Rain” today on their Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/heiswe.official) which was directed by Jostin Darlington and filmed at Tacoma School Of The Arts. In addition, PureVolume will be exclusively streaming five acoustic re-recordings of tracks from My Forever beginning tomorrow.

Band members Rachel Taylor and Trevor Kelly are quickly becoming not only internet sensations (they were PureVolume’s #1 Internet Artists of 2009), but live performers as well. Kicking off what will be a very busy year of touring for He Is We, they will set out on the road on February 13th for a handful of dates with Barcelona and Lady Danville before joining Scene Aesthetic, Carter Hulsey, Plug In Stereo and more on the LOVE IS ALL AROUND US TOUR (dates below).

With their debut single “Happily Ever After” building up major steam after impacting AAA and Hot AC radio formats last week, He Is We keeps growing exponentially in the media. Verbicide Magazine praise, “[He Is We] have impressed and proven to be a smash hit all the way from here to there. Their repertoire consists of pop and sizzle, the likes of which could have you rolling on your back with blissful ecstasy in no time at all,” while the UK’s Alter the Press calls their album, “an indie pop fan’s dream; it’s a collection of songs that are as catchy as they are well-written… It’s smart pop music: gorgeous melodies, strong vocals, and enough punch from the music to tie everything together.” Alternative Press say that their music is “big enough for live sing-alongs and sweet enough for to soundtrack next year’s prom” while AbsolutePunk lauds, “For just a debut record, My Forever has set He Is We up for greatness”).

My Forever was produced by Casey Bates (Chiodos, Portugal. The Man, Foxy Shazaam) and Aaron Sprinkle (The Almost, Eisley, Pedro The Lion, Mae), with additional recording done in New York City with Dan Romer (Ingrid Michaelson). He Is We have recorded acoustic versions of My Forever (plans for release to be announced) and are currently working on the video to “Happily Ever After.”
