Scene It has put out, just in time for the big V-Day, the Romance version of Scene It for the iPad. We’ve covered scene it here before on the short list, though thankfully there is lots less blood this time. Last time we covered a scene it game here, it was halloween and we were looking at horror flicks. This time, it’s all about the love baby.

So, what can we expect from this round of scene it magic? There is of course the one player version, the multiplayer version, but there is also two new toys added just for ambiance. There is the love meter option, meant to be a compatibility meter between you and your Significant Other, or there is the head to head option – lover’s quarrel. Two lovers duke it out in a free for all to see who reigns supreme on the romance scene.

The ease of use with this Game is just like you expect to find from this sort of game, just follow the prompts and score points as you go. The best thing about this game, in my opinion, is the matching costume game. During any one of the games you might pick from, of which there are an ample amount of them to choose from, you might encounter a mini-game where they tell you to match the items to the costumes on the left from the movie. I love this mini game, it’s the one I always do the best at. To score really high, and have a score worthy of posting on Facebook via the built in Facebook integration, you really need to be a romance movie buff. And I’m not just talking about the most recent chick flicks, either, no no, they don’t pull any punches here. From recent box office hits, to old black and white classics, almost any movie that ever made a girl swoon and a man cry that single solitary tear that he hides in his diet root beer is included in the wide range of movies that you will have to try to match, identify, or finish famous quotes from.

While this is a pretty standard bill of faire for scene it, I have to say, this App is something cool that two lovers could curl up on the couch and make some movie magic of their own with. The game just feels like a natural thing to do as part of a romantic night in because the boyfriend forgot to book a table at the local olive garden. There isn’t much to say about this Game other than it’s worth a shot. Just about any scene it game on the AppStore is worth the money if you like this sort of game. Also, one of the benefits of this style of game versus their DVD styled game, is that they can upload new content for the game whenever they choose. This romantic version of scene it gets a 9 out of 10 this go round, and my personal seal of approval.

Game receives a 9 out of 10 possible points.
