Tin Horn Prayer will embark on ten-day tour of the West Coast and Southwest in support of its new full-length, Get Busy Dying.

Featuring ex-members of The Blackout Pact, Only Thunder, Ghost Buffalo, Love Me Destroyer and Pinhead Circus, the Denver, CO band’s debut effort is now available on both vinyl and digital formats from Bermuda Mohawk Productions. The recently released LP version of the record – which features sweet black-on-black UV jackets – can be purchased from the label here or you can grab a copy from the band on tour.

The concept of combining the gruffness and intensity of punk with Americana and frontier-based folk has been toyed with for many years within the indie rock scene, but very few have blended the two sounds as well as Tin Horn Prayer. Soulful and chalk-full of whiskey-soaked narratives, Get Busy Dying carves out ten unique cuts that nod toward Lucero, Tom Waits and Murder By Death, but also stay true to the band members’ post-punk roots. If you’ve ever wondered what it would sound like if the Lawrence Arms and Uncle Tupelo got into a bar fight, look no further than this amazing record. Get Busy Dying is as much a dark, deeply personal affair as it is a rowdy, undeniably fun time.

Get Busy Dying is currently streaming in its entirety at Punknews.org and Bandcamp. You can also download a free mp3 for the song “1939” here. While you’re at it, check out this great interview (also featuring an album stream) with band member Andy Thomas at AMP Magazine.

Additionally, Bermuda Mohawk recently celebrated its 50th release with a free digital comp featuring 27 songs from Cheap Girls, One Win Choice, imadethismistake, Carpenter and Mixtapes amongst others. Tin Horn Prayer kicks off the sampler with the track “Better Living.” Download all the goodness here.

Finally, it’s worth noting that Tin Horn Prayer just finished recording four new songs at Black In Bluhm Music with Chris Fogal of The Gamits. Fogal also recorded and produced Get Busy Dying. More details regarding the fate of those tracks soon!
