Happy Birthday!? Well something like that. Topshelf Records is
extremely excited to announce that this week they turn 5 years old.
Topshelf Records is run by two good friends, Kevin Duquette and Seth
Decoteau, out of the Boston, Massachusetts area. In those quick 5
years they’ve managed to put together an impressive roster boasting of
artists who thrive on making honest and passionate music including
Defeater, Grown Ups, My Heart To Joy, and Pianos Become The Teeth and
they have put out 30+ releases, nine of which were released last year.

Topshelf Records has teamed up with RCRDLBL.com and Absolutepunk.net
to celebrate along with a few other things in their back pocket planned for the rest of the
week. For the next 5 days RCRDLBL.com will be hosting a FREE track for
download from an artist on Topshelf’s roster. Today the track is from
Grown Ups called “Pears” off the bands critically acclaimed debut LP
More Songs. Absolutepunk.net will be hosting a contest starting today
where you can enter to win tests pressings, rare vinyl, Topshelf Swag,
CDs and more straight from the label. Topshelf is promising to
announce something newsworthy each day this week and, in addition to
being 5 years old, they are giving away 6 albums for FREE download in
exchange for a tweet or like on facebook and will be having a sale on
their webstore this entire week.
