“Can you feel it? Can you hear it? Just a breeze, hard to hear – there’s a cold wind here…”

It was in the early 60s, a valley was flooded and a storage lake appeared right where the small town of Marienbad once was. The inhabitants were relocated – but the twelve who didn’t wanted to go and prefered suicide than an uncertain future…
MARIENBAD is the new project of the two Eisregen musicians M. Roth (concept/vocals) and Yantit (composition, guitars, keyboard), where they let Marienbad rise from the dark waters once again and tell those legends that have been almost forgotten.

On their journey they are accompanied by Allen B. Konstanz (drums) [The Vision Bleak] and West (bass) [Panzerkreutz, Hämatom]. So a conceptual double album was created (with both German and English lyrics), which – after almost 18 months of work in the band’s own studio – will soon be presented to the listener.

Markus Stock (Eisregen, The Vision Bleak, Maroon) has mixed and mastered the album in February 2011 at the Klangschmiede E studio.

“Werk 1: Nachtfall” will be released on May 27, 2011 via Massacre Records. It will be available as 2CD and as a limited numbered A5 double digipak version.
