Headless Horseman, the New York-via-Allentown duo comprised of Conner O’Neill and Fareed Sajan, are rising – and fast. They’ve been named a Stereogum Band To Watch; they’ve held down a residency at Pianos; they hit the stage damn near 15 times last month at SXSW; they’re planning a 7″ release with Das Racist; and this summer they’re planning the US/UK release of their debut EP, HDLSS, with a solo 7″ scheduled to drop this spring. Now, Headless Horseman is excited to release a new video for “Wavlngth,” a single that does well to capture the group’s falsetto-friendly, vocals-buried-in-the-music brand of indie rock.
Directed by Wooden Lens, the video serves as the second of a three-part series of videos dedicated to “Wavlngth,” with the first video made by HH’s own Conner O’Neil, and the forthcoming third video to be directed and produced by POYKPAC (Pictures Of Your Kids Pooping And Crying). Explains Fareed on this new video and Headless Horseman’s visually inclined plans for future, “As a band, we have been fortunate enough to have several director/filmmaker friends who consistently pitch video treatments for our songs, not to mention that we ourselves are visually inclined and tend to think visually when making music, so we even write treatments of our own. Hence, we plan to make a video series for each of our songs.”
