If you don’t know the name Prince Aries yet, you should, and likely will very soon. Aside from co-founding the Bay Area’s first hip-hop television show, Distortion 2 Static, over 10 years ago, Aries also has a whole other side that includes being a sought after party promoter, DJ, and graphic designer. And up next in his series of video shorts leading up to the release of his Clean Ass Whip mixtape, Prince Aries explains part of that other side. Specifically diving into his illustrative and graphic design abilities, the Bay Area Renaissance Man is seen here explaining the inspiration behind the cover art for Clean Ass Whip, walking viewers through how he originally went about creating. “When I listen to this mixtape and see this cover – that’s pretty much how I feel, riding around in a car on a sunny afternoon.”

Prince Aries’ Clean Ass Whip mixtape, which features original tracks from DaVinci and Bambu along with a variety of west coast classics that ultimately shaped his musical taste.
